Get the latest creative news from FooBar about art, design and business. Air India and IHG Hotels & Resorts have announced a new partnership connecting their respective loyalty programmes, Maharaja Club and IHG One Rewards, giving members greater flexibility to earn and exchange points.
Under the partnership, Maharaja Club members can earn 2 Maharaja Points for every USD 1 spent at most IHG hotels worldwide. Stays at Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels will earn 1 Maharaja Point per USD 1 spent.
What Happened
IHG currently operates 53 hotels across seven brands in India and has a pipeline of 110 additional hotels expected to open over the next three to five years.
IHG One Rewards members can also convert their points into Maharaja Points, with 1,000 IHG One Rewards Points exchangeable for 200 Maharaja Points.
The minimum conversion threshold is 1,000 IHG One Rewards Points.
To mark the launch, Maharaja Club members can earn 3x Maharaja Points on qualifying stays between September 15 and December 31, 2026, subject to registration, with no blackout dates during the promotional period.
Key Details
The partnership combines IHG’s portfolio of more than 7,100 hotels across over 100 countries with Air India’s network spanning India and five continents, expanding opportunities for members to earn rewards beyond their airline and hotel spending.
Meanwhile, Maharaja Club has added more than 100 partner brands between FY2023 and FY2026, with members completing over 4.2 million partner transactions during FY2026.
