Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin on Friday (January 9, 2026) alleged that the Central Board of Film Certification had also “become a new weapon of the BJP-led Union government”, after the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), and the Income Tax Department.
Mr. Stalin made the comments in a social media post a few hours after the Board cleared Parasakthiahead of its scheduled release on January 10, albeit with 25 cuts. The political dramareceived a U/A certificate.
