You will also soon be able to refine your Discover feed by typing specific interests directly into the app. If you prefer audio, you can now curate your daily news briefings in the Google News app to focus on the topics that matter most.
What Happened
Google is making it easier to see the news and topics you actually care about. You can now mark your favorite websites as "preferred" so they show up more often in your search results and AI summaries.
So far, people have already selected more than 600,000 unique sources.
And with the new Preferred Source button, it’s a breeze to stay connected to the sites you like most.
These new personalization features make your Google experience uniquely yours.

Plus, thanks to the wide range of publishers participating in our news AI pilot program, you’ll get deeper dives into key stories in the briefing.

If you prefer listening to your news on the go, we’re making it easier to customize your daily audio briefings in the Google News app on Android.
