Hilary Duff FINALLY Breaks Silence On Her Mom Group Drama With Ashley Tisdale!

Hilary Duff is ready to talk about the mom group drama!

Last month, Ashley Tisdale went off about her “toxic” group of mom friends in a viral essay for The Cut. She claimed they started acting like mean girls and excluded her from events, which upset her. Because the group became way too high school for her, she decided to cut ties with them for good. The High School Musical alum didn’t name names, but we all quickly realized she was talking about Hilary, Mandy Moore, Meghan Trainor, and others!

Most of the mom group has remained silent about Ashley’s article — but Meghan has been adamant that she’s innocent in everything. Mandy also got real about mourning the loss of a friendship around that time. What about Hilary? She hasn’t said a word about the situation… until now!

The mom group drama came up in an interview published with The Los Angeles Times on Friday, with the interviewer asking if the experience gave her “pause about reentering the pop world” again. However, this is Hilary Duff we’re talking about here. She has been in the business for a long time, so she is used to this kind of stuff happening:

“I mean, this is not new for me. I’ve had this since I was maybe 15 and starting to get followed around by paparazzi. Everything starts getting documented and everyone knows my life and all the players in it. So the stories that get news pickup — it’s not what happens to a normal person who maybe became an actor as an adult. And now it’s escalated by the talking heads on TikTok that need clickbait.”

But the Lizzie McGuire alum does find that aspect “hard” nowadays. Hilary explained:

“It’s hard because you’re like, ‘Wait, whoa, that person kind of got it right,’ and ‘Whoa that person doesn’t know what they’re talking about.’ I saw something that was like, ‘None of the moms at school actually like her and neither do the teachers,’ and I was like, ‘First of all…’ By the way, the women at school are lovely and I’m obsessed with all of them.”

Just not Ashley, probably! At least not now, especially when she is cozying up to her estranged sister!

When asked if she can tune out the online noise, the Roommates singer admitted that “it just depends on the day.” What helps is knowing that she has her family, which includes husband Matthew Koma and kids Luca, Banks, Mae, and Townes, by her side at the end of the day:

“Knowing that I get to open up the backdoors and play soccer as a family and take a hot tub and go get our chicken eggs — that’s the purpose of life. On the days when crazy s**t happens, I go home and quiet the noise.”

And it also probably helps to let her hubby deal with the drama instead the best way he knows how… by trolling! LOLz!
