Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has finally reacted to news of his former co-star Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi's cancer diagnosis. The reality TV star rose to fame alongside Polizzi on the beloved MTV series "Jersey Shore."

On February 22, Sorrentino updated his X page with a throwback picture of the "Jersey Shore" cast. The snap captured him posing with Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, and Polizzi.

"Sending prayers full of love, promotion, and healing to our girl @snooki," Sorrentino captioned the image alongside a bandaged heart emoji. The post generated mixed reactions from fans, with some confused about what happened to Polizzi while others sent their prayers.

One fan claimed they weren't a fan of reality TV shows until the MTV program dropped, noting Polizzi had stolen their heart as a drama queen. "Wishing nothing but the best to that cute little meatball. Hang in there, Snooks, we love you," the X user penned. Another echoed similar sentiments, labeling Polizzi "a fighter."

The love and support for Polizzi continued, with more fans praying for her well-being. "Snooki is too g. She's gonna overcome for sure," someone declared, while a fellow supporter claimed fans would rally behind the TV personality amid her cancer battle.

An X user noted that Polizzi was fortunate the cervical cancer was caught at stage 1, dubbing it "incredible news" for the "millennial princess." The sentiments continued with other fans sharing their cancer struggles, and claiming Polizzi would overcome hers.

"If caught early, she will be ok :) As someone who has had it before," a fan wrote. A fellow cancer survivor revealed that they had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2010 and regained their spirit while watching Polizzi's reality TV show. The fan added that they were sharing their story so Polizzi wouldn't feel alone.

Sorrentino wasn't the first "Jersey Shore" alum to pray for Polizzi's recovery as she received tons of love from Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley. The Blast covered the story, reporting the former co-stars had rallied around Polizzi following her cancer diagnosis.

Polizzi broke the news in a TikTok post, confirming that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma. "Obviously not the news I've been hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early," she shared.

Polizzi also used the moment to implore fans to prioritize their checkups, stressing that she was lucky she didn't run away from getting pap smears. According to the entertainer, she had been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years; however, she refused to stop getting checked despite the discomfort.

Polizzi first shared her health update in January, with The Blast reporting that she confirmed her doctor had found cancerous cells on top of her cervix. At the time, the reality TV star confessed that she was "terrified" about undergoing another procedure to confirm the doctor's findings.

Polizzi became emotional in the video, revealing that she might need to have a hysterectomy if she were diagnosed with cervical cancer. The idea left her in tears as she was frightened about losing her ability to have children.

Nonetheless, Polizzi stressed that she would prioritize her health and do whatever was necessary to improve her well-being. On that note, she begged fans to get frequent checkups, admitting that she had postponed her appointments until the last minute because she suspected she might not get good news.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi Opened Up About Her Weight Struggles

Nearly three years before her cancer diagnosis, the biggest problem in Polizzi's life had been her fluctuating weight. The Blast reported in July 2023 that she had opened up about her weight struggles in a candid TikTok post.

According to Polizzi, her battle with her weight started from a young age. She recalled being "underweight" in high school, noting that she struggled with eating and would have little to no energy. Despite fitting into size zero jeans, Polizzi confessed that she wasn't happy.

The struggles continued until 2009 when she joined the cast of the MTV reality TV series, and became uninterested in counting her calories. Polizzi noted that the show helped her feel confident no matter her size, and she soon realized that she was happy living with her weight fluctuating.
