All selected athletes will convene at the Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala for a national preparatory camp from September 1 to September 15. The team will then depart directly for Aichi-Nagoya on September 16 for final pre-competition acclimatisation.
The team includes the return of pioneer fencer CA Bhavani Devi, who leads the women’s sabre squad after resuming competitive action following a two-month break, having competed at the Asian Senior Fencing Championships earlier this year. The squad shows strong momentum across all weapon.
