Guwahati(Kamakhya)-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express train to begin inaugural run today – check timings, stoppages
Guwahati-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express: A new Amrit Bharat Express train between Guwahati (Kamakhya) and Rohtak has commenced its inaugural run today. This new train will further strengthen long-distance rail links across Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Haryana, offering affordable and comfortable travel. The train will be maintained and operated by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone.
During its inaugural journey on January 18, the Kamakhya–Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express will run as train number 05671. The train will run via New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barauni, Chhapra, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Delhi.
On Sunday (January 18), train number 05671 Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat inaugural special will stop at 29 railway stations. These are: Rangiya, Barpeta Road, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barsoi, Katihar, Naugachia, Mansi, Khagaria, Begusarai, Barauni, Hajipur, Sonpur, Chhapra, Ballia, Ghazipur City, Aurihar, Varanasi, Gyanpur Road, Prayagraj Rambag, Prayagraj, Govindpuri, Tundla, Ghaziabad, Delhi and Bahadurgarh.
The route unlocks iconic tourist destinations, from the sacred Kamakhya Temple near the origin, to Varanasi’s timeless Ganga ghats and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Prayagraj’s Sangam confluence during Kumbh Mela, and New Jalpaiguri’s gateway to Darjeeling’s tea hills and wildlife sanctuaries. It also passes near Bihar’s cultural hubs like Katihar and historic sites along the River Ganga.
On Sunday, January 18, train number 05671, the Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express inaugural special, will depart from Kamakhya at 11:00 hrs and arrive at Rohtak at 04:00, the third day.
